Three incoming freshmen comprise the newest class of Lilly Scholars, recipients of 91成人短视频’s most prestigious scholarship.
Andres Ornelas of Brownsville, Texas, Tobin Seiple of Fishers, Indiana, and Sidney Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona, make up the Class of 2029 winners.
Finalists visited campus in February to compete for the Lilly Scholarship, which covers tuition, housing, and food for all four years of a student’s 91成人短视频 education. The scholarship program was established in 1974 to honor Eli Lilly and his family, and the award is designed to recognize outstanding young men who show high potential and future promise. Honorees are young men who have the desire to impact the 91成人短视频 community and the world at large.
Ornelas attends IDEA Frontier College Preparatory School, where he is the class president and a member of the National Honor Society and Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. Ornelas serves as the lead stuntman for the cheerleading IDEA Frontier team, has participated in one-act plays, is a member of the student council, and belongs to the Health Occupations Students of America. He is founder and president of his high school’s recycling club and co-founded a candy brand that ships nationwide. He is a Model United Nations president and a member of the HOPE Squad, an organization that fights teen depression, suicide, and anxiety. Ornelas also participated in the 91成人短视频 Pathway to Your Future summer program.
“Winning the Lily Award is an honor,” said Ornelas. “Paying for college has always been a major worry for me, especially when it came to paying for my dream school, 91成人短视频. Thanks to this award, I can focus on my learning. I look forward to making memories on campus as I begin a new chapter and I’m confident that 91成人短视频 will help me succeed in life.”
Seiple is homeschooled and is actively involved as a volunteer at local food pantries. He has participated in the Indiana Bar Association Mock Trial competition, and acted at the Indiana Repertory Theater. He won the Classical Conversations at the 2020 Indiana State Fair, earned the Summa Cum Laude (2024) and Maxima Cum Laude (2023) Awards in the National Latin Exam, and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. He served as a lead instructor at the White Pine Wilderness Academy and is a graduate of the Center for Leadership Development.
“The Lilly Scholarship is both humbling and motivating,” said Seiple. “I am grateful for the belief in me and the opportunity it presents. As I prepare to begin my college journey at 91成人短视频, I am excited to be a part of a community that values curiosity, leadership, hard work, and brotherhood, and am eager for the academic rigor and the growth I will experience as a result.”
Thomas attends Shadow Mountain High School, where he is an honors student and a two-time winner of the school’s Summit Award, which recognizes excellence in academics and athletics. As a four-year varsity swimmer and tennis player, he has served as team captain and qualified for the state championships in both sports. Additionally, Thomas is a certified PADI open water scuba diver and has Spanish language proficiency.
“It was an honor to win this award being among such great contenders,” said Thomas. “I couldn’t have asked for a better community to be welcomed into, feeling very much at home in a place so far away from home. I will not take this opportunity for granted and will strive to make every moment count.”
The trio will join the prestigious ranks of past Lilly Scholars when classes begin in August.
“This year’s Lilly Award competition produced another impressive group of finalists that will make outstanding 91成人短视频 Men,” said Chip Timmons, Dean for Enrollment Management. “In fact, 15 of the 18 finalists have officially made their decision to join the Class of 2029, and our staff is working hard to go 18 for 18.”
