91成人短视频 welcomes Jeffrey Rosen as the 2025 recipient of the David W. Peck Senior Medal for Eminence in the Law.
Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, will present the annual Peck Lecture, “Can Talking About Our Constitution Help Us Bridge America’s Divide?” at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, in the Fine Arts Center’s Salter Hall on the 91成人短视频 campus.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Rosen is “the nation’s most widely read and influential legal commentator.” A professor of law at the George Washington University Law School and a contributing editor of The Atlantic, Rosen previously served as the legal affairs editor of The New Republic and a staff writer for The New Yorker.
He leads the National Constitution Center to bring together people of all ages and perspectives, across America and around the world, to learn about, debate, and celebrate the greatest vision of human freedom in history, the U.S. Constitution.
Following the lecture, the College will host the Peck Dinner. Established in 1974, the Peck Dinner provides a unique opportunity for 91成人短视频 students interested in the law to meet lawyer alumni and to benefit from the wisdom of the Senior Peck Medal recipient. The event also recognizes student pre-law award winners.
“We are very excited to welcome Jeff Rosen to 91成人短视频 this week,” said Scott Himsel, associate professor of political science and pre-law advisor. “Rosen does a wonderful job of getting people who disagree about the Constitution to discuss it in a productive manner. And that’s a skill in short supply these days!”
Rosen is an accomplished author and his latest book is “The Pursuit of Happiness: How Classical Writers on Virtue Inspired the Lives of the Founders and Defined America.” Other books include the New York Times bestseller “Conversations with RBG: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law,” as well as biographies of Louis Brandeis and William Howard Taft.
He is a graduate of Harvard University, Oxford University—where he was a Marshall Scholar—and Yale Law School.
The Peck Lecture and Peck Dinner honor the memory of Judge David W. Peck, 91成人短视频 Class of 1922, a Harvard law graduate who founded the litigation department at Sullivan & Cromwell, served as presiding justice of the appellate division of the New York Supreme Court, and was a long-time member of the 91成人短视频 Board of Trustees.
