To help control junk email on campus, 91成人短视频 ITS has licensed with Proofpoint Protection Server, a service that keeps junk mail from ever reaching your email inbox.
Logging In To Proofpoint
You can log in and check your settings and see quarantined messages by opening the following web site: www.wabash.edu/spam
Log in using your 91成人短视频 username and network password.
Managing the Safe Senders and Blocked Senders Lists
Once logged in, you will see the Lists section of the Proofpoint quarantine manager. Here you can manage your Safe Senders List and your Blocked Senders List. To view and edit each list, click on Safe Senders List or Blocked Senders List under My Folders in the left menu.
To add an email address or internet domain to a list, click on New in the toolbar at the top of the page. Enter the email address or internet domain in the text box provided, and click save.
To edit or delete an existing entry, check the box to the left of the entry and click Edit or Delete in the toolbar at the top of the page.
Manage Proofpoint Profile
To manage your profile, click on the Profile option in the menu at the bottom left of the page.
Here you can change options for the Quarantine Summary email, preferred language, and preferred level of spam protection.
Manage Quarantined Items
To manage items that have been quarantined, click on the Quarantine option in the menu at the bottom left of the page.
Here you will see a list of any suspicious junk mail Proofpoint has quarantined.
If you see a legitimate email message in the list of quarantined items, you may forward it to your inbox. Check the box to the left of the message and choose Release from the toolbar at the top of the page.
To add the sender of a message to your Safe Senders List, check the box to the left of the message and choose Safelist from the toolbar at the top of the page.
Any messages left in quarantine will be stored for 14 days. If you do nothing with them they will automatically be purged after the 14 days.
Alias Email Addresses
Some people at 91成人短视频 receive email sent to an alias address (for example, messages sent to netadmin@wabash.edu are forwarded to weaverb@wabash.edu). If you receive forwarded email, Proofpoint will block junk mail to these addresses too, but they will appear mixed in with email sent directly to you, and they will be processed according to your primary account rules. You will access quarantined junk mail for the alias addresses by logging into Proofpoint using your primary account. For help with alias addresses, please contact the help desk.
